背景资料: The correlation of anti-sperm antibodies with cases ofnunexplained infertility implicates a role for these antibodies innblocking fertilization. Improved diagnosis and treatment ofnimmunologic infertility, as well as identification of proteins forntargeted contraception, are dependent on the identification andncharacterization of relevant sperm antigens. The protein expressednby this gene is recognized by anti-sperm agglutinating antibodiesnfrom an infertile woman. Furthermore, immunization of female ratsnwith the recombinant human protein reduced fertility. This proteinnlocalizes to the plasma membrane of germ cells in the testis and tonthe post-acrosomal plasma membrane of mature spermatozoa.nRecombinant polypeptide binds GTP and exhibits GTPase activity.nThus, this protein may regulate GTP signal transduction pathwaysninvolved in spermatogenesis and fertilization. 免疫原: This SPAG1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 124-152 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human SPAG1.

保存建议: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
