背景资料: FUNCTION: This is the receptor for stem cell factor (mast cell growth factor). It has a tyrosine-protein kinase activity. Binding of the ligands leads to the autophosphorylation of KIT and its association with substrates such as phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (Pi3K).

DISEASE: Defects in KIT are a cause of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) [MIM:606764].

CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: ATP + a protein tyrosine = ADP + a protein tyrosine phosphate.

保存建议: KIT antibody can be stored at 4˚C for short term (weeks). Long term storage should be at -20˚C. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
